Sydney Tarzwell
Sydney Tarzwell graduated from Columbia Law School in 2007 with awards including the Allan Morrow Sexuality and Gender Prize and recognition as a James Kent Scholar.  Ms. Tarzwell clerked for the Honorable Sidney R. Thomas on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit before beginning her social justice career representing LGBTQQ homeless and street-involved youth as a Skadden Fellow in New York City.  In 2011, Ms. Tarzwell moved to Alaska, where she has represented Alaska Native Tribes and individuals in cases involving a number of issues, including the Indian Child Welfare Act, Alaska Native Allotments, and tribal court jurisdiction and sovereignty. Ms. Tarzwell is licensed in New York.
